Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX) and the host Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX), saw Sterling's basketball squad wallop Ball by a tally of 65-29.

With the victory, Sterling improves its record to 11-14 on the campaign. The Rangers host Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX) to confront the Patriots in a 5A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 10-18. Goose Creek Memorial lost 49-18 in their recent league challenge against Manvel (Manvel, TX)

Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Ball will attempt to improve on its 1-22 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 18-12 record after their 66-39 league win over Texas City (Texas City, TX).
