Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), 56-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Belvidere North upgrades its record to 14-9 on the season. The Blue Thunder host Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL) to play the Knights in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 12-11. Rockford Auburn lost 61-48 in their recent non-league bout against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL)

Next up, the Pretzels play the Rock Falls Rockets (Rock Falls, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 29. Freeport will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 14-11 record after their 57-41 league win over Lutheran (Rockford, IL).
