January 28, 2022: Eddyville, IA 52553 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets (Eddyville, IA) and the visiting Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA), saw Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont's basketball squad knock off Chariton by a count of 49-37.
With the victory, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Rockets host Centerville (Centerville, IA) to play the Big Reds/Redettes in a South Central challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Big Reds/Redettes come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. Centerville won 52-43 in their recent league challenge against Knoxville (Knoxville, IA)
Next up, the Chargers play the Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 29. Chariton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 33-20 non-league loss to Van Buren County (Keosauqua, IA).
