New York High School Basketball - West Canada Valley thwarts Beaver River
January 28, 2023: Beaver Falls, NY 13305 The West Canada Valley Indians (Newport, NY) basketball knocked off the host Beaver River Beavers (Beaver Falls, NY), 70-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Indians (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Poland (Poland, NY). The Tornadoes go into the Section 3 Center State IV test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Poland went down by Town of Webb (Old Forge, NY), 55-43, in a league test.
The Beavers now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Sandy Creek for a Section 3 Frontier C test on Tuesday, January 31. Beaver River will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 65-41 non-league loss to General Brown (Dexter, NY). The Comets record now stands at 10-6.
