Continental Pirates (Continental, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Columbus Grove Bulldogs (Columbus Grove, OH), 53-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Continental upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Pirates host Montpelier (Montpelier, OH) to clash with the Locomotives in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Locomotives go into the bout with a record of 6-8.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets (Pandora, OH) in a Putnam County bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Columbus Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 58-56 non-league win over Bluffton (Bluffton, OH).
