The West Ridge Wolves basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Union Bears to 43 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wolves now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to David Crockett for a 4A District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 31. West Ridge will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 49-43 league win over Science Hill (Johnson City, TN). The Pioneers record now stands at 18-5.

The Bears (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against John Battle (Bristol, VA). The Trojans enter the Mountain contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, John Battle was defeated by Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA), 57-34, in a league contest.
