Texas High School Basketball - Coronado thwarts Caprock
January 28, 2025: Lubbock, TX 79410 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) and the visiting Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX), observed Coronado's basketball team knock off Caprock by a score of 51-38.
The Mustangs (10-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners come into the 5A Region I District 3 challenge with a 8-19 record. In their last challenge, Lubbock was knocked off by Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX), 93-35, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Caprock will attempt to improve on its 5-22 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 13-12 record after their 46-40 league loss to Coronado (Lubbock, TX).
