Virginia High School Basketball - J.R. Tucker sneaks past Deep Run
January 28, 2025: Glen Allen, VA 23059 The J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA) basketball edged the host Deep Run Wildcats (Glen Allen, VA), 51-46 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Louisa County for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 29. J.R. Tucker will play a Lions team coming off a 45-38 league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Lions record now stands at 1-15.
With the loss, Deep Run falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA) to play the Jaguars in a Colonial bout on Thursday, January 30. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Glen Allen won 88-54 in their recent non-league bout against Hylton (Woodbridge, VA)
