Ohio High School Basketball - Defiance thwarts Swanton
January 28, 2025: Defiance, OH 43512 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Defiance Bulldogs (Defiance, OH) and the visiting Swanton Bulldogs (Swanton, OH), observed Defiance's basketball team knock off Swanton by a score of 59-41.
The Bulldogs (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Elida (Elida, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Western Buckeye challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Elida prevailed over Celina (Celina, OH), 49-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Archbold Blue Streaks (Archbold, OH) in a Northwest Ohio challenge, on Friday, January 31. Swanton will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Blue Streaks come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 39-38 non-league loss to Stryker (Stryker, OH).
