Tennessee High School Basketball - Dobyns-Bennett fells Gate City
January 28, 2025: Kingsport, TN 37664 The Dobyns-Bennett Indians basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Gate City Blue Devils to 46 in the Indians non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Indians now possess a 17-7 record. They play next when they travel to Science Hill for a 4A District 1 game on Friday, January 31. Dobyns-Bennett will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 68-49 non-league win over Jefferson County (Dandridge, TN). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 16-5.
With the loss, Gate City falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Blue devils host John Battle (Bristol, VA) to confront the Trojans in a Mountain game on Wednesday, January 29. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 5-12.
