Arkansas High School Basketball - Rison trounced by Drew Central
January 28, 2025: Monticello, AR 71655 Drew Central Pirates (Monticello, AR) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR), 73-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Drew Central advances its record to 9-9 on the year. The Pirates travel to Dumas (Dumas, AR) to meet the Bobcats in a 3A Region 8 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 11-5.
The Wildcats now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lakeside for a 3A Region 8 match on Friday, January 31. Rison will meet a Beavers squad coming off a 66-61 league loss to Rison (Rison, AR). The Beavers record now stands at 1-3.
