The Eastlake Falcons basketball squad (El Paso, TX), was nudged 58-53 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX)

With the victory, Franklin advances its record to 15-13 on the year. The Cougars travel to Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX) to meet the Spartans in a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 17-11.

The Falcons now own a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pebble Hills for a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, January 31. Eastlake will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 60-28 league win over Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 17-11.
