Kentucky High School Basketball - Green County thwarts Larue County
January 28, 2025: Greensburg, KY 42743 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Green County Dragons (Greensburg, KY) and the visiting Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY), observed Green County's basketball team knock off Larue County by a score of 76-62.
The Dragons (15-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 7-12 record. In their last challenge, Metcalfe County prevailed over Glasgow (Glasgow, KY), 52-46, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Caverna Colonels (Horse Cave, KY) in a District 18 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Larue County will attempt to improve on its 14-6 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 77-48 non-league win over Washington County (Springfield, KY).
