January 28, 2025: Houghton, MI 49931 Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI), 83-77 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Ishpeming advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Hematites travel to Gladstone (Gladstone, MI) to face the Braves in a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. The Braves enter the match with a record of 3-11. Gladstone lost 79-42 in their recent non-league match against Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI)
The Gremlins now own a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnston for a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. Houghton will face a Speedboys squad coming off a 42-37 non-league win over Jeffers (Painesdale, MI). The Speedboys record now stands at 5-6.
