Texas High School Basketball - Plains thwarts Morton
January 28, 2025: Plains, TX 79355 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX) and the visiting Morton Indians (Morton, TX), observed Plains's basketball team knock off Morton by a score of 69-54.
The Cowboys (23-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Whiteface (Whiteface, TX). The Antelopes come into the 2A Region I District 5 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Whiteface prevailed over Smyer (Smyer, TX), 56-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians encounter the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Morton will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Roughnecks come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 67-43 league loss to Plains (Plains, TX).
