The Southside Seahawks basketball squad (Chocowinity, NC), was outscored 63-53 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Pamlico County Hurricanes (Bayboro, NC)

With the victory, Pamlico County advances its record to 4-10 on the year. The Hurricanes host Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC) to meet the Devil Pups in a 1A/2A Coastal Plains battle on Friday, January 31. The Devil Pups enter the battle with a record of 8-5. Lejeune won 61-42 in their recent league battle against Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC)

The Seahawks now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Carteret for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains battle on Wednesday, January 29. Southside will meet a Mariners squad coming off a 65-37 league loss to Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 3-8.
