January 28, 2025: West Point, MS 39773 West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Aberdeen Bulldogs (Aberdeen, MS), 61-17 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West Point upgrades its record to 8-16 on the year. The Green Wave host New Hope (Columbus, MS) to face the Trojans in a 5A Region 1 match on Thursday, January 30. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 13-5. New Hope won 63-31 in their recent league match against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS)
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Webster for a 3A Region 4 match on Thursday, January 30. Aberdeen will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 44-38 non-league loss to Biggersville (Corinth, MS). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-10.
