California High School Basketball - Crystal Springs Uplands nips Mercy

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons basketball team scored a close 34-31 win over the Mercy Bears.

The Gryphons (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA). The Knights come into the West Bay - Skyline contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, King's Academy was tipped by Castilleja (Palo Alto, CA), 45-28, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Eastside College Prep Panthers (East Palo Alto, CA) in a West Bay - Skyline contest, on Friday, January 31. Mercy will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Mountain View Academy (Mountain View, CA).
