The Fort Elliott Cougars basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host Follett Panthers to 42 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now have a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Booker for a 1A Region I District 1 game on Friday, January 31. Fort Elliott will confront a Kiowas team coming off a 46-27 league loss to Kelton (Wheeler, TX). The Kiowas record now stands at 10-14.

With the loss, Follett falls to 5-16 on the campaign. The Panthers host Miami (Miami, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 1A Region I District 1 game on Friday, January 31. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 2-10. Miami lost 28-24 in their recent league game against Booker (Booker, TX)
