January 28, 2025: Girard, KS 66743 The Girard Trojans (Girard, KS) basketball crushed the visiting Fort Scott Tigers (Fort Scott, KS), 51-29 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 11-1 record. They play next when they host St. Mary's-Colgan for a Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee bout on Friday, January 31. Girard will play a Panthers team coming off a 56-37 league win over Frontenac (Frontenac, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 9-1.
With the loss, Fort Scott falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Independence (Independence, KS) to play the Bulldogs in a Southeast Kansas bout on Friday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Independence lost 59-34 in their recent non-league bout against Ottawa (Ottawa, KS)
