Louisiana High School Basketball - Franklinton overwhelms Mt. Hermon
January 28, 2025: Franklinton, LA 70438 The Franklinton Demons basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets to 13 in the Demons non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Demons now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they host South Plaquemines for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Franklinton will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 59-49 non-league loss to Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-10.
With the loss, Mt. Hermon falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Holden (Holden, LA) to confront the Rockets in a B District 7 game on Friday, January 31. The Rockets go into the game with a record of 11-9. Holden won 67-26 in their recent non-league game against Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA)
