December 17, 2024: Kentwood, LA 70444 Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA), 30-27 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sumner advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to meet the Green Wave in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 18. The Green Wave enter the match with a record of 7-3. Ponchatoula lost 61-58 in their recent non-league match against Slidell (Slidell, LA)
The Demons now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pearl River for a 4A District 7 match on Thursday, December 19. Franklinton will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 52-42 non-league loss to Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 6-3.
