Louisiana High School Basketball - Hammond knocks off Franklinton
January 8, 2025: Hammond, LA 70401 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) and the visiting Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA), observed Hammond's basketball team overcome Franklinton by a margin of 32-21.
The Tornadoes (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA). The Green Wave come into the 5A District 6 challenge with a 14-7 record. In their last challenge, Ponchatoula dropped by John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA), 67-58, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Demons battle the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. Franklinton will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 31-29 non-league loss to Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA).
