January 28, 2025: Boutte, LA 70039 Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats (New Orleans, LA), 55-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hahnville advances its record to 12-9 on the year. The Tigers host Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to face the Tigers in a 5A District 8 match on Friday, January 31. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 20-4. Terrebonne won 54-10 in their recent league match against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA)
The Bobcats now own a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Abramson for a 4A District 10 match on Thursday, January 30. Frederick A. Douglass will face a Commodores squad coming off a 40-23 non-league win over John Ehret (Marrero, LA). The Commodores record now stands at 16-3.
