The North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) basketball edged the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 68-62 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Knights now possess a 17-1 record. They play next when they host North Iredell for a 3A Western Foothills bout on Friday, January 31. North Lincoln will play a Raiders team coming off a 55-38 league win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Hickory falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Red tornadoes host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Alexander Central won 51-37 in their recent league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
