West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team knock off the visiting South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), 55-44 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers come into the District 4 challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Woodson prevailed over Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA), 54-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Stallions encounter the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) in a District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 31. South County will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 50-42 league win over West Springfield (Springfield, VA).
