The Taylorsville Tartars basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Stringer Red Devils to 21 in the Tartars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tartars now possess a 15-12 record. They play next when they host Leake County for a 1A Region 7 game on Friday, January 31. Taylorsville will confront a Gators team coming off a 55-22 league win over Mississippi School for the Deaf (Jackson, MS). The Gators record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, Stringer falls to 5-18 on the campaign. The Red devils host Mount Olive (Mount Olive, MS) to confront the Pirates in a 1A Region 7 game on Friday, January 31.
