New York High School Basketball - Cardinal Hayes holds off St. Peter's

The Cardinals (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY). The Gaels go into the non-league contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Iona Prep nipped St. Francis Prep (Fresh Meadows, NY), 69-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Moore Catholic Mavericks (Staten Island, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. St. Peter's will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Mavericks go into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 66-32 league win over LaSalle Academy (New York, NY).
