The Western Guilford Hornets basketball squad (Greensboro, NC), was outscored 49-34 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC)

With the victory, Southwest Guilford advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Cowboys host Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC) to meet the Spartans in a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 29. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 10-4. Mount Tabor lost 53-43 in their recent non-league battle against East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC)

The Hornets now own a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Page for a non-league battle on Friday, January 31. Western Guilford will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 42-34 non-league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 9-7.
