Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Morton Indians (Morton, TX), 51-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Plains upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Sundown (Sundown, TX) to play the Roughnecks in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Roughnecks come into the bout with a record of 2-11. Sundown lost 50-40 in their recent league bout against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX)
