Arizona High School Basketball - Ray overwhelms San Simon
January 29, 2022: Kearny, AZ 85137 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ray Bearcats (Kearny, AZ) and the visiting San Simon Longhorns (San Simon, AZ), saw Ray's basketball squad wallop San Simon by a tally of 63-32.
With the victory, Ray improves its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Hayden (Winkelman, AZ) to confront the Lobos in a 1A East challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Hayden won 61-36 in their recent league challenge against San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ)
Next up, the Longhorns confront the St. David Tigers (St. David, AZ) in a 1A South challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. San Simon will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 16-3 record after their 92-12 league win over Valley Union (Elfrida, AZ).
