January 29, 2022: Ashton, IL 61006 The Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL) basketball knocked off the host Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL), 49-38 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (21-7) will now prepare for their test against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Rockets go into the Big Northern test with a 15-11 record. In their last test, Rock Falls notched a victory over Freeport (Freeport, IL), 58-21, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Eastland for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South test on Tuesday, February 1. Ashton-Franklin Center will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 38-26 non-league win over Pearl City (Pearl City, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 11-11.
