Michigan High School Basketball - Iron Mountain crushes North Central
January 29, 2024: Powers, MI 49874 Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host North Central Jets (Powers, MI), 68-28 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Iron Mountain upgrades its record to 14-0 on the season. The Mountaineers host Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI) to clash with the Hematites in a Mid-Peninsula bout on Friday, February 2. The Hematites go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Ishpeming won 65-60 in their recent non-league bout against Houghton (Houghton, MI)
Next up, the Jets clash with the Carney-Nadeau Wolves (Carney, MI) in a Central Upper Peninsula bout, on Tuesday, January 30. North Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 101-23 league loss to Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI).
