January 29, 2024: Dubuque, IA 52001 The Kennedy Cougars (Cedar Rapids, IA) basketball crushed the host Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA), 71-26 in Monday's league test.
The Cougars (18-0) will now prepare for their test against Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA). The Wahawks go into the Mississippi Valley test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Waterloo West was trounced by Linn-Mar (Marion, IA), 67-60, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a Mississippi Valley test on Tuesday, January 30. Wahlert will encounter a Lightning squad coming off a 48-37 league loss to Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA). The Lightning record now stands at 5-9.
