California High School Basketball - King/Drew holds off Maranatha
January 29, 2024: Los Angeles, CA 90059 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the King/Drew Golden Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Maranatha Minutemen (Pasadena, CA), saw King/Drew's basketball squad hold off Maranatha by a tally of 63-57.
With the victory, King/Drew improves its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Crenshaw (Los Angeles, CA) to confront the Cougars in a Coliseum challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 11-11. Crenshaw lost 76-69 in their recent non-league challenge against Westchester (Los Angeles, CA)
Next up, the Minutemen confront the Whittier Christian Heralds (La Habra, CA) in a Olympic challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Maranatha will attempt to improve on its 16-9 season record. The Heralds come into the challenge with a 8-18 record after their 60-40 league loss to Valley Christian (Cerritos, CA).
