California High School Basketball - Westchester tops Venice
January 29, 2024: Los Angeles, CA 90045 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Westchester Comets (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA), saw Westchester's basketball squad knock off Venice by a tally of 67-57.
With the victory, Westchester improves its record to 19-6 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Fairfax (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Lions in a Western challenge on Friday, February 2. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 6-20. Fairfax won 66-60 in their recent league challenge against Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA)
Next up, the Gondoliers play the Hamilton Yankees (Los Angeles, CA) in a Western challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Venice will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Yankees come into the challenge with a 10-16 record after their 46-33 league win over University (Los Angeles, CA).
