Nebraska High School Basketball - Anselmo-Merna can't hold off Central Valley

The Central Valley Cougars basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Anselmo-Merna Coyotes to 37 in the Cougars league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Francis for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Central Valley will battle a Flyers team coming off a 57-21 non-league win over Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE). The Flyers record now stands at 11-7.

The Coyotes (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Twin Loup (Sargent, NE). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 7-9 record.
