Iowa High School Basketball - Sioux Central tops Southeast Valley
January 29, 2024: Gowrie, IA 50543 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) and the host Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), saw Sioux Central's basketball squad knock off Southeast Valley by a count of 67-57.
With the victory, Sioux Central upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to St. Mary's (Remsen, IA) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. St. Mary's won 75-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA)
Next up, the Jaguars play the South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA) in a Twin Lakes challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Southeast Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 59-36 non-league loss to Humboldt (Humboldt, IA).
