Virginia High School Basketball - Floyd County tops Patrick County
January 29, 2024: Stuart, VA 24171 Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 35-26 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Floyd County upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Carroll County won 44-11 in their recent non-league bout against James River (Buchanan, VA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Patrick County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 43-41 non-league loss to Radford (Radford, VA).
