January 29, 2024: West Point, VA 23181 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) and the host West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), saw Northumberland's basketball squad hold off West Point by a tally of 42-39.
With the victory, Northumberland improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Essex (Tappahannock, VA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Essex lost 45-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA)
Next up, the Pointers confront the King William Cavaliers (King William, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. West Point will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 45-43 non-league loss to Armstrong (Richmond, VA).
