Virginia High School Basketball - Heritage sneaks past Gretna
January 29, 2025: Lynchburg, VA 24502 The Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) basketball edged the visiting Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA), 67-60 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Pioneers now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Liberty Christian for a Seminole bout on Friday, January 31. Heritage will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-26 league win over Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-3.
With the loss, Gretna falls to 13-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to play the Wildcats in a Dogwood bout on Friday, January 31. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Dan River won 65-50 in their recent non-league bout against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA)
