Michigan High School Basketball - Powers Catholic thwarts Dow
January 29, 2025: Flint, MI 48505 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) and the visiting Dow Chargers (Midland, MI), observed Powers Catholic's basketball team knock off Dow by a score of 78-68.
The Chargers (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI). The Bobcats come into the Saginaw Valley challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Grand Blanc dropped by Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI), 49-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Chargers battle the Bay City Western Warriors (Auburn, MI) in a Saginaw Valley challenge, on Friday, January 31. Dow will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 58-10 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, MI).
