Michigan High School Basketball - Powers Catholic can't hold off Heritage
February 14, 2025: Saginaw, MI 48603 Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI), 45-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Heritage advances its record to 16-3 on the year. The Hawks host Lapeer (Lapeer, MI) to face the Lightning in a Saginaw Valley match on Tuesday, February 18. The Lightning enter the match with a record of 3-11. Lapeer won 31-30 in their recent non-league match against Fenton (Fenton, MI)
The Chargers now own a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bangor for a non-league match on Monday, February 17. Powers Catholic will face a Vikings squad coming off a 51-32 league loss to Marcellus (Marcellus, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 6-11.
