Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Delano Tigers (Delano, CA) and the host McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), saw Delano's basketball squad hold off McFarland by a tally of 63-60.

With the victory, Delano improves its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Kennedy (Delano, CA) to play the Thunderbirds in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 6-11.

Next up, the Cougars play the Wasco Tigers (Wasco, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Wednesday, January 5. McFarland will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 63-54 non-league loss to McFarland (McFarland, CA).
