In Friday's league outing, the Kennedy Thunderbirds (Delano, CA) basketball squad edged the host McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), by a count of 92-91.

The Thunderbirds (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against Shafter (Shafter, CA). The Generals go into the South Sequoia outing with a 4-11 record. In their last outing, Shafter held off Taft (Taft, CA), 61-49, in a league outing.
