Vermont High School Basketball - Bellows Free Academy tops Essex
January 3, 2023: Essex Junction, VT 05452 Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets (St. Albans, VT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), 82-65 in a league bout.
With the victory, Bellows Free Academy upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Bobwhites/Comets travel to Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT) to play the Redhawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Redhawks come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Champlain Valley Union lost 43-38 in their recent league bout against Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT)
Next up, the Hornets play the Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT) in a Metro bout, on Thursday, January 5. Essex will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 45-39 league win over Burlington (Burlington, VT).
