Delaware High School Basketball - Cape Henlopen fells Smyrna
January 3, 2023: Lewes, DE 19958 Cape Henlopen Vikings (Lewes, DE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 59-41 in a league bout.
With the win, Cape Henlopen upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Milford (Milford, DE) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Milford lost 67-62 in their recent non-league bout against Polytech (Woodside, DE)
Next up, the Eagles play the Caesar Rodney Riders (Camden, DE) in a Henlopen - Northern bout, on Thursday, January 5. Smyrna will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Riders go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 56-41 league win over Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE).
