Louisiana High School Basketball - Central Catholic overwhelms Covenant Christian Academy
January 3, 2023: Houma, LA 70364 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) and the host Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA), saw Central Catholic's basketball squad wallop Covenant Christian Academy by a tally of 75-11.
With the victory, Central Catholic improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Jeanerette (Jeanerette, LA) to play the Tigers in a 1A District 7 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5.
Next up, the Lions play the Hanson Memorial Tigers (Franklin, LA) in a 1A District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Covenant Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 51-32 league win over Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA).
