New Jersey High School Basketball - Passaic can't hold off Clifton
January 3, 2023: Passaic, NJ 07055 The Clifton Mustangs basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Passaic Indians to 45 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host McNair Academic for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Clifton will battle a Cougars team coming off a 63-42 non-league win over Beloved Community Charter (Jersey City, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 3-4.
The Indians (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Eastside (Paterson, NJ). The Ghosts come into the Big North - Liberty contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Eastside edged Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ), 54-37, in a league contest.
