Tennessee High School Basketball - Cumberland County tipped by York Institute
January 3, 2023: Crossville, TN 38555 The York Institute Dragons basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Cumberland County Jets to 52 in the Dragons non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Dragons now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sequatchie County for a 2A District 5 contest on Friday, January 6. York Institute will meet a Indians team coming off a 75-55 non-league loss to Van Buren County (Spencer, TN). The Indians record now stands at 3-10.
The Jets (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Livingston Academy (Livingston, TN). The Wildcats enter the 3A District 7 contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, Livingston Academy nudged DeKalb County (Smithville, TN), 70-64, in a league contest.
